The “Friends of Āria School” Group was established to handle the fundraising side of school life. Fundraising helps Aria School provide programmes, activities and facilities that our annual budget does not cover. This includes teacher aide hours, swimming tuition, school trips and out of school activities.
We feel very strongly that increasing teacher aide hours, a significant part of our fundraising cost, is extremely beneficial to help children with gaps in their learning catch up.
The schools major fundraising event is an annual two day trail bike ride held in February. It is a very successful event, but requires a lot of support from the school families and surrounding community. The school is grateful for this continued support.
The school also runs a stock scheme were farming families can donate a weaned beef calf or raise one through to maturity. If you are able to contribute to our stock scheme programme, , please contact the school or the co-ordinater Ashleigh Foreman on 027 654 7434 or ar.foreman@yahoo.co.nz
