Āria School offers many great opportunities outside the classroom.
Each year seniors go on a week long school camp to either Rotorua, Northland or Motutapu Island.
The school produces an annual production. The whole school from new entrants to year 6 is involved and the children are responsible for all aspects of the play, including lighting, sound and prop design.
All students have the opportunity to compete in sports either as an Āria team or in collaboration with Piopio primary. Hockey in particular is strong at Āria, with the school regularly punching above its weight in junior hockey.
Āria has a strong local cultural focus, with Kapahaka, Marae visits and te reo featuring strongly within the school.
